Meet Jonathan Malm

We are excited to announce that author and speaker Jonathan Malm will be joining us for our 2015 City Gates Conference in Detroit!

From our beginning, God invited humans to be co-creators. We are each designed to approach our everyday role with innovation and imagination that brings new life to our world. Jonathan will share how creativity is a key characteristic of God and how we can love others through the gift of creativity.

Jonathan Malm is the author of Created for More—a 30-day devotional to help you think more creatively about your work and your walk with God.

Jonathan grew up in the mountains of Guatemala as a missionary kid, and then moved to Texas where he finished his high school and his Bachelors degree in Marketing. After college, he worked as a church creative director where he had his hand in everything from leading worship to running the technological side of things.

During that time, Jonathan developed a passion for the creative process and for helping organizations effectively and creatively communicate. He launched multiple websites and blogs that explore every facet of church creativity. Because of the popularity of those projects, Jonathan set out on his own to be a resource for church and organizational creativity.

Jonathan’s had the privilege of speaking at many conferences and formerly directed a conference
for creative church communicators. He’s passionate about helping people think differently about
their jobs and about creativity.

Jonathan lives with his wife in San Antonio, Texas where he writes and roasts his own coffee beans.
